[PES 2018 Mobile]＊LATEST＊ PES 2022 Switch： Features, Gameplay, Release Date & more
With PES 2021 winding down, it’s time we look towards Konami’s next release.
We haven’t seen the PES franchise arrive on a Nintendo console for some time, but will that change this year?
Read on to find out everything we know about PES 2022 coming to Nintendo Switch.
Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced that the company has signed a long-term, exclusive partnership agreement with Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio (Atalanta), the top-tier Italian football club who recently finished the season in third place.

As “Official Video Game Partner”, Konami has secured exclusive rights to the use of the Atalanta license, including team name, crest and kits, within real-time football simulation games, starting with the 2021/22 football season.
This exclusive deal means that FIFA 22 will no longer include the official Atalanta team name, crest, kits and player names.
This is still unknown, but there is certainly hope for the PES franchise to return to Nintendo this year.
Robbye Ron, PES brand manager for Latin America said to RPP back in 2018:
”The Unreal Engine will help us a lot to be a little more flexible on what platforms we appear on.
”I can’t assure you yet, but I think we’re getting closer to getting there (to Switch).
”Whenever we announce a new game, people let us know that they are still waiting for the Switch version.

”It is something we want, because people ask us and there are many consumers who have stopped playing PES just because we are not on that platform.
”We are focused on seeing how we can (do it), and I think that the change of engine will help us a lot to fulfil the dream to several Nintendo fans.”
We are now close to three years on from that, but do bear in mind that PES 2021 was just a “Season Update” of PES 2020, and Unreal Engine has been confirmed for PES 2022.
If the series was ever to land on Nintendo Switch, it would be for PES 2022.
It sounds as if Unreal Engine holds the key to a Switch arrival, and we do know that Unreal Engine will be arriving for PES 2022.
We don’t know if this will be Unreal Engine 4 or 5, but with UE5 not arriving until “late 2021” it is looking more and more likely that it will be released on the current engine.
Unreal Engine 5 will bring Holywood level animation to video games, but it’s still good news for lower performance consoles like the Switch, with UE5 still playable.
Keep your eyes on Fortnite’s port to Unreal Engine 5 later this year.
How that plays out on all consoles, especially Nintendo Switch, will be interesting to see.
PES 2022 is yet to receive an official release date, but we are expecting an early-to-mid September release.
If we had to pick a date Tuesday, 7 September 2021 would be the one to put in the diary.
Although there hasn’t been an “official” PES 2022 trailer – Konami did tease us with the Next Gen release at the same time as the PES 2021 announcement.
The teaser was revealed on 15 July 2020, and gives us an insight into the level of graphics for PES 2022.
